The Technology Operations Administrator primarily supports the Director of Technology in managing, maintaining, and improving the organization’s technology systems, digital tools, and technology-related projects.

Location: USA - Fully Remote

Type: Part-Time - 20 hours per week

Pay: $30 per hour

Preference for two 8 hour days and one 4 hour day each week

Are you the person who keeps everyone’s accounts, permissions, and digital tools running smoothly? Looking for a role you can do from home, three days a week? If so, FoodRecovery.org is hiring a part-time Technology Operations Administrator to help power the platform that rescues surplus food from landfills and gets it to communities in need. We are looking for someone to work closely with the Director of Technology across Google Workspace, analytics, quality assurance, and project coordination. This is behind-the-scenes work with a very visible impact. Tech that feeds people and redirects surplus food and goods away from landfills!! 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Administer Google Workspace, including creating and removing user accounts and managing groups, shared drives, and permissions.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding for employees, contractors, and volunteers.
  • Maintain Google Analytics, Google Ads, Search Console, and Tag Manager to keep our digital content compliant and our search engine optimization effective.
  • Create and maintain clear technology documentation.
  • Conduct quality assurance and testing on our systems and tools.
  • Coordinate assigned technology projects: track progress, flag potential risks, and prepare activity and progress reports.
  • Assist with website and content updates.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to help inform our technology decisions.
  • Support grant-related technology activities, including cost tracking.
  • Contribute to product management for existing software development efforts and take on special projects with the Director of Technology.


Qualifications Needed:


  • 1-2 years of experience working in technology administration, IT support or a related role. 
  • Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace, including creating and removing user accounts, managing groups, shared drives, and permissions. 
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Search Console and Tag Manager.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to speak to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technology issues and identify when escalation is needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems and tools quickly.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations affecting nonprofits.
  • Passion for social impact, equity, and community-focused work.

Preferred 

  • Google Workspace Administrator Certification.
  • Familiarity with data privacy practices and website accessibility standards.
  • Experience supporting grant-funded projects, including cost tracking or reporting.
  • Experience with product management, software development, or web-development.


Salary

$30 - $30 per hour
