Meaningful Life Behavioral Health was created to provide home and community-based services for people with developmental disabilities in Kingman AZ, and the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Meaningful Life Behavioral Health currently offers Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) of Respite (RSP), Attendant Care (ATC), Day Treatment and Training – Adult (DTA), Transportation (TRA), Habilitation Hourly (HAH), Habilitation-Group Home (HAB) and Room and Board Group Home (RRB) to consumers who are eligible for services through the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DES/DDD). MLBH Group Home Managers 

 


Job Description: 


Meaningful Life Behavioral Health Group Home Managers are responsible for the daily in-home operations and DSP staff serving our members. As an MLBH Group Home Manager you will be managing communications with Guardians, Families, Support Coordinators, Doctors and more to ensure all members within the home you run are being cared for successfully. This role requires attention to detail and meticulous multitasking skills as you will be providing hands-on care and ensuring the staff you are managing as well provide the same level of care. MLBH Group Home Managers will be responsible for being on call as needed and to ensure scheduled appointments, activities, and any needs are not missed due to understaffing.  



Responsibilities: 


  • Supervise group home care staff 
  • Make sure assigned duties are completed each day 
  • Oversees member funds and Group Home Funds 
  • Oversees members schedules, activities and weekly appointments 
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation for their group home to familiarize new employee(s) on member(s) in the home 
  • Act as liaison to all agencies involved in services for members I.e. DDD, Day Programs, Doctors, etc. 
  • Ensure Maintenace Request are turned in to the Operations Director to ensure speedy Maintenace fixes 
  • Maintain contact with Member(s) families and guardians as requested 
  • Attends weekly management meetings with Operations Director and Human Resources Director to provide updates on homes 
  • Responsible for the management and updating of Member(s) medications (e.g. maintain supply, supervising books and passing of medications, documentation, training staff on the medications provided etc.) 
  • Participate in trainings and maintains required certifications at all times 
  • Complete End of Month and ensure all paperwork was properly completed 
  • Ensure all DDD and MLBH policies are being always followed 
  • Assists HR with call offs and is required to be on call if no other coverage can be found and is needed 
  • Must attend all member(s) appointments to ensure MLBH is following proper care for member(s) needs  
  • Assists Operations Director with member behaviors as needed  
  • Provides performance reviews to HR upon requests of all staff in their homes  
  • Must ensure all logs and books are being completed each shift as needed by MLBH 
  • Submits all supplies and groceries orders to the Office Manager 
  • Assists HR with disciplinary actions in the home as needed 
  • Keeps track of scheduling for the homes to know who is working when as needed for urgent matters 
  • Submits vehicle Maintenace requests to the Transportation Director as needed for their home's vehicle 
  • Create documents and member books as needed by the company 
  • Responsible to attend all 90-day meetings, and any other meetings pertaining to members as needed by the company  

  Skills: 


  • 2+ years of DDD or Group Home Experience  
  • 1+ year of Management Experience Preferred  
  • High School Diploma/ GED Required  
  • Unrestricted Driver's License 
  • CPR/ First Aid  
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card 
  • Article 9 
  • Prevention and Support 
  • Must be at least 21 years old
