The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all group home operations in District South to ensure they run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with DES/DDD standards. This role serves as the primary communication link between Group Home Supervisors, Guardians, Support Coordinators, vendors, and the Executive Director. The District South Operations Manager will address operational needs, coordinate resources, ensure compliance, and provide guidance to staff to maintain high-quality care.

Meaningful Life Behavioral Health was created to provide home and community-based services for people with developmental disabilities in the Kingman and Phoenix Metropolitan areas. Meaningful Life Behavioral Health currently offers Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) of Respite (RSP), Attendant Care (ATC), Day Treatment and Training – Adult (DTA), Transportation (TRA), Habilitation Hourly (HAH), Habilitation-Group Home (HAB) and Room and Board Group Home (RRB) to consumers who are eligible for services through the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DES/DDD). Meaningful Life Behavioral Health will be expanding the services offered in the near future.

Meaningful Life Behavioral Health, LLC (MLBH) provides exceptional care and support to individuals in our group homes. We are committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and quality of life for all our members while maintaining a professional and supportive environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Group Home Supervisors regarding supplies, furniture, books, and general operational needs.
  • Review and approve all IFFs and IRs for accuracy prior to submission to the Executive Director and CEO.
  • Oversee daily group home operations to ensure standards are consistently met in each home.
  • Meet with House Supervisors to resolve operational issues and obtain member updates.
  • Visit homes regularly to shadow, teach, and support House Supervisors and staff.
  • Report disciplinary actions and incidents to the Executive Director and HR Manager.
  • Conduct monthly audits of each Group Home.
  • Manage and follow up on maintenance requests to ensure homes are safe and well-maintained.
  • Attend required 90-day meetings for members within the district.
  • Meet with each member’s support team as needed and relay concerns to leadership.
  • Manage and approve group home purchases, submitting all receipts on a monthly basis.
  • Respond to emergencies, including member behaviors, home-related issues, DES/DDD visits, and staff concerns.
  • Maintain accurate monthly expense reports for the operational card.
  • Assist in preparing agendas and coordinating staff meetings and trainings.
  • Be available on-call for staff or member concerns and emergencies.
  • Oversee Carasolva and all record-keeping for Group Home and DTA members.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on maintenance requests for Group Homes and DTA programs.
  • Support budgeting for in-house and off-site activities, events, and community engagement.
  • Travel to other MLBH locations at least once per week, including Sierra Vista and Phoenix, as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DES/DDD rules and regulations.
  • Proven experience as a DSP, House Manager, or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Salary

$52,000 - $58,000 per year
