MD Ally is a non-emergency 911 navigation solution that enables care pathways from 911 to the broader healthcare ecosystem. Our solutions connect members calling 911 with non-emergency concerns to virtual care instead of transporting them to costly emergency services. We enable partnerships between Public Safety and Payors that expand access to care and improve clinical and financial outcomes.  

We are seeking a versatile financial leader who can seamlessly transition between strategic thinking and tactical execution. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for driving growth. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They will also play a pivotal role in strategic initiatives, such as financial planning, fundraising, and investor relations. This position demands a high degree of autonomy and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As the head of finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company. This is a hands-on position that requires a strategic mindset, strong operational skills, and a passion for driving growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, from day-to-day accounting to partnering with the executive team in long-term financial planning. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Accounting Operations:  
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. 
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. 
• Manage ancillary functions include tax, compliance & reporting, payroll & benefits, and other similar responsibilities. 
• Financial Systems and Processes:  
• Design, implement, and maintain efficient financial systems and processes to optimize operations, reporting, and planning. 
• Collaborate cross functionally to ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other business systems. 
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):  
• Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. 
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. 
• Provide insightful financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making. 
• Investor Relations:  
• Prepare financial materials for investor presentations and board meetings. 
• Collaborate with the CEO and COO to manage investor relations and fundraising activities. 
• Leadership:  
• Be a leader within the MD Ally organization, helping to foster an environment of financial awareness and understanding, and impact of decisions and outcomes on finances. 
• Recruit, hire, and develop a talented and mission driven team.

• Experienced leader with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills which can be applied directly within finance and cross functionally to help advance business outcomes. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy while driving results quickly. Comfort driving progress over perfection and excellent judgement for when perfection is truly needed. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including managing and communicating up, down, and laterally. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 
• CPA, degree in Accounting and MBA, or commensurate experience 
• 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the healthcare or technology industry with demonstrated progression pf responsibility. 
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. 
• Deep expertise of revenue recognition standards for software and services. 

Bonus: 

• Experience with SaaS or healthcare technology companies. 
• Experience with fundraising and capital raising activities. 
• Experience in managing M&A or similar transactions 
• East Coast/EST time zone
