Job Summary

MB Electrical is seeking an experienced Journeyman or similar experienced electrician with a heavy industrial background.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in system installations, upgrades, and maintenance, and demonstrate a commitment to safety, code compliance, and high-quality workmanship.

This position is best suited for an adaptable and self-motivated individual who thrives in a variety of work environments and is confident working independently and as part of a project team.

Travel throughout Iowa and surrounding states may be required based on project locations.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for fuel stations and petroleum facilities
  • Wire and service fuel dispensers, canopies, lighting, and point-of-sale systems
  • Install conduits and pipes for wires and cables
  • Install and troubleshoot tank monitoring (ATG) and fuel control systems
  • Complete system upgrades, retrofits, and compliance-related corrections
  • Ensure all work meets NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, leads, and other trades to ensure work is completed on time and to specification.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, prioritizing safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Active Iowa Journeyman License – Class A or B, or eligible via reciprocity (Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin)
  • OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Familiarity with NEC standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
