How the Role Fits In:
The Project Process Engineer is accountable for
soliciting input from technical, operations,
maintenance and other Stakeholders and
appropriately incorporating it into Process Design
Packages that meet Business and Project
Objectives.
The Project Process Engineer orchestrates the
various engineering disciplines involved in the
process design throughout the FEL phases. This role
drives the alternatives analysis and selection,
generates investment economics, completes the
Process Design, acts as a resource during detailed
engineering and construction, and actively
participates in the pre‐start‐up and start‐up
activities.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
required
Min. 10 years of experience working in a
petrochemical plant, refinery, etc.
Skills/Competencies
Candidate will be well versed in industry codes,
standards, and requirements (ANSI, API, ASME,
NFPA, PIP, OSHA, ISA, etc.)
Proficient with Aspen+, Hysys, AFT Fathom,
Pipenet, and EPCON Suite or similar software.
Ability to read and understand standard
engineering drawings and calculations
Experience working stage gate capital project
process on owner side
Experience with boiler feed water treatment
systems, waste treatment, and traditional
petrochemical processes.
Working knowledge of process control and
instrumentation hardware.
Experience with various types of rotating and
fixed equipment and designs thereof.
Experience applying engineering standards and
specifications on capital projects
