Description

Basic Function

The IE Turnaround Planner position is a member of a dynamic team responsible for the planning and scheduling functions at the Enterprise Products Facilities. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the planning of Turnaround work requests (IE Scopes) to improve the site's work efficiencies.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed and accurately planned job packages for the repair and improvements to the plant's equipment. Job plans must satisfy the notification scope and includes all materials, tools, services, resources, cost estimation and appropriate scheduling logic between operations/tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to the Enterprise Policies, Standards and Maintenance Procedures.
  • Utilize Stakeholders and SMEs feedback to continuously improve job plan accuracy and methods of execution.
  • Manage workload by working with assigned support groups in the development of timely and precise job plans.
  • Create and maintain task lists and bill of materials (BOMs) for jobs requiring them.
  • Utilize previous repair history, personnel feedback and company approved OEMs/SMEs to ensure the appropriate scope of work is developed.
  • Participate in the cost estimating process for services and materials by coordinating with vendors and internal clients during the bid package development. Periodically work turnarounds and outages. This includes planning, coordinating and other lead roles.
  • Schedule and lead job plan discussions with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in and lead safety huddles.


Minimum Qualifications

  • AAS Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical with 10+ years of IE maintenance technician experience in the chemical /refining industry. 5+ years in leadership and planning experience.
  • Basic computer skills such as opening, creating, and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets is required.
  • Knowledge and experience of how to troubleshoot, install and maintain plant equipment to industry standards. Strong understanding of Compressor Controls, Motor Controls, PLC, SIS, Industrial Power Distribution, VFD, UPS, Battery Chargers, Analytical, Measurement, Isolation Valves, Control Valves, Fire and Gas Detection.
  • In-depth knowledge in reading and interpreting P&IDs, Electrical Schematics, C&Es, Spec Sheets, Loop Drawings, NEC Code, NFPA 70E and QA/QC requirements.
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a businesslike and professional manner is required.
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision, be proactive, self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects, changing priorities and frequently heavy workloads which may require work in addition to normal working hours.
  • General knowledge of Oracle and Toadfly Planning Tool.

Physical requirements

  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of electrical and instrumentation experience is preferred, preferably in an energy related industry.
  • Works indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment.
  • Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
  • Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools.
  • Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position.
  • Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
  • May work in confined spaces (i.e., tanks, between compressors, vessels).
  • Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100 foot lbs. of torque.
  • Must have ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.
  • Must wear special safety equipment while working and must be able to lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protective equipment.
  • The ability to take call-outs and work overtime is required.
  • Must live or relocate to within 1 hour of reporting location. The ability to travel domestically is required.
