Responsibilities:
- P&ID redlines for Control scope.
- Mark up/Create instrument Location Plans.
- Create/Update Electrical Area classification drawing.
- Create/Update facility Key plan.
- Generate Instrument data-sheets.
- Update instrument installation details.
- Create Cable conduit schedule.
- Design cable tray and conduit system and routing.
- Develop construction scope document.
- Develop construction plan.
- Support Loop checks and startup.
- Maintain As Built documents and project sign-off.
- Create and maintain instrument Index.
- Verify Loop drawings.
- Technical support for process control, instrumentation, and measurement technologies for projects.
- Engineering & design expertise for control system upgrades, Burner Management System upgrades, and shutdown system upgrades.
- Providing guidance and support for process control project scope and estimates.
- Participating in operational training as related to these systems.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience on implementation of process control systems and I&E related functions for plant and pipeline facilities is required.
- Expert knowledge of industry standards (NFPA-70E, NFPA-87, API-500, ISA & IEC) is required.
- Understanding of basics and complex regulatory control & safety systems is required.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design including relay logic.
- Expert knowledge of industry recognized safety system, burner management equipment, and implementation is required.
- Proficient in Engineering and Design of PLC Based Control systems.
- Proficient in Motor Control Schematic wiring and functionality.
- Proficient in generating Cable conduit schedule, cable tray & conduit routing design.
- Detailed Knowledge of Honeywell C300 systems, Triconex CX, and Allen Bradley PLC’s is highly preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work both independently and with others in the organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization (operations and contractors), both verbally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to perform light work, able to lift minimum of 20 pounds occasionally, be able to climb a ladder, and be able to reach overhead, stoop, bend and twist while working.
- Primary Work Location: Houston, Texas – Corporate Office.
- Travel: up to 25%
