What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role you will provide safety support at the project site, oversee Contractor activities
- You will provide effective leadership to a team of Safety Techs and plan their activities to support the project team’s goal to maintain a zero – zero safety performance
- You will oversee Work Permits on a daily basis, identify improvement opportunities and initiate necessary actions
- Further you will perform accident investigations including Root Cause Analyses of injuries, illnesses, and key incidents
- Perform corrective actions following citations or safety incidents to remain within compliance of occupational and health regulations
- You will be in charge to monitor contractors' safety programs, perform periodic HSE audits
- You will also lead sample safety inspections everyday, identify good practices and improvement opportunities, report findings to site management and follow up at the same time to ensure timely conformance
- You will help develop and implement local safety training and campaigns to maintain a positive safety culture
- You should be able to implement and lead a strong Safety Observation program
- Also, you should be willing to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and help correct UA&UCs
What makes you great
- You should have a Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related HSE field
- OSHA 30 hours training in construction is a mandatory requirement
- In addition, you should have good knowledge about applicable OSHA requirements
- Must possess strong technical knowledge on HSE matters in construction. (Very Important), this included basic knowledge of Electrical Safety, Hazardous Energy Isolation program & basic idea about P&IDs
- You must have at least 10 years of construction HSE site experience
- You are expected to have a LEAD HSE / Site HSE Manager role at job sites for at least 10 years
- Having good communication skill, a positive attitude towards contractor monitoring and HSE management
- Ability to impart training, lead HSE orientation are necessary skills
- You should be willing to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and help correct UA&UCs
