We program the controllers and equipment that automate manufacturing processes for anything from urban farming to electric cars, or to harvesting solar energy. Despite being a small company, our modern approach to implementing automation solutions has won us big name clients including Tesla, Honeywell, Red Bull, and many others. Job Summary:

As an entry-level engineer at Maskine, you'll hit the ground running with real, business-critical projects from day one—particularly in programming and industrial automation. We're looking for engineers who are excited about writing code, interacting with automation hardware, and solving problems with software. You'll receive structured training in automation technologies and then have the freedom to apply your creativity and technical knowledge to develop innovative solutions, with support and guidance always available when needed. In addition to hands-on engineering, you'll also have opportunities to contribute to sales and business development as we expand into new industries. At Maskine, we specialize in designing and implementing advanced robotic automation systems for manufacturers across a wide range of industries. Our work includes PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, motion control, robotics integration, and custom software applications tailored to our clients’ operations. Our engineers collaborate closely with customers to design, program, and deliver automation solutions that improve manufacturing processes. Projects involve both in-office programming and hands-on commissioning and testing of automated electromechanical systems. Since our work sits at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, we're looking for engineers who have a solid understanding of physical systems and are eager to focus on programming.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently with clients to specify, architect, write, and test programs for industrial automation equipment for a variety of industries
  • Develop proficiencies in multiple PLC hardware platforms
  • Design clean, intuitive user interfaces for industrial equipment
  • Develop proficiencies in multiple HMI and SCADA platforms
  • Commissioning of solutions at customer sites, including troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their goals and challenges, conducting business fairly and honestly, and maintaining consistent project communication and concise documentation
  • Assist with sales, business development, and day-to-day business operations
  • Travel to customer sites locally and nationally as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • General programming experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Salary

$70,000 - $100,000 per year
