Marketplace Velocity Director of E-Commerce Remote · Full time

The Director of E-Commerce orchestrates all aspects of e-commerce operations, identifying strategies for efficient business planning, and developing market campaigns to various media platforms. Analyzes current market trends and conducts data analysis to forecast and determine initiatives that increase brand awareness and execution across online platforms, and evaluates e-commerce strategies.

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee all digital marketing to drive customer acquisition and retention efforts 
  • Provide expertise on current digital marketing and e-commerce best practices, including trend analysis and competitive benchmarking, then puts insights into action 
  • Monitor performance analytics such as website traffic and product performance to define best practices that will deliver the highest conversion rate and repeat customers 
  • Use data analytics to track performance goals and identify opportunities for business development 
  • Manage internet marketing solutions, social media integration, paid advertising and other monitoring methodologies and analytics 
  • Provide thought leadership, innovation, and process-optimization initiatives and lead e-commerce strategy development, implementation and evaluation 
  • Manage team of paid search analysts and client strategists and lead training and development initiatives 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, information systems or related field, MBA preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with a focus on e-commerce 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing and executing e-commerce tasks at a company or agency
  • Experience with online marketplace channels like Amazon/Wal-mart preferred
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS 
  • Google Ads certification preferred
  • Amazon Advertising certification preferred 
TECHNICAL SKILLS

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and/or an understanding of:
