POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sr. Account Manager ensures agency’s client needs are met by monitoring and guiding account activities and by maintaining an effective level of direct contact with clients. Reporting to and working closely with the VP of Strategy & Accounts, the Sr. Account Manager bears responsibility for accounts growth and profitability, and for developing members of the account team as required. The position requires a solid background in mid- to senior-level marketing positions and/or demonstrated superior performance as an account manager. Advanced verbal and written skills, analytical thinking skills, personal organization skills, and knowledge of interpersonal dynamics are required.
In addition, the Sr. Account Manager must demonstrate the ability and knowledge in marketing tactics, projects, strategic plans, and media plans. The Sr. Account Manager must also fully understand and research assigned clients’ industry to gain awareness of specific market trends and issues. The Sr. Account Manager must possess personnel management abilities, encompassing team-building and mentoring skills. A clear understanding of today’s marketing and advertising business is essential for this position.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT(S)
A completed four-year undergraduate degree in Advertising, Marketing, English, Business, Communications, or similar field of study is required.
CAREER PATH
This position has the opportunity to grow into a Head of Accounts role over the next 12 months, assuming the candidate meets all the criteria required of that management level role.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Work is normally sedentary and performed in a climate-controlled office environment. However, there are occasions when work will be performed in outside local locations and is subject to seasonal extremes of heat, humidity, and/or cold. Some activities may include work travel. Some work activities may entail extended periods of standing or walking. Occasional lifting of materials/equipment up to 25 lbs. may be required.

The following equipment will be used in the conduct of daily business: Laptop, desktop computer(s), mouse, keyboard; commercial art and graphic design hardware, software, and peripherals; tablet(s); personal cellular phone; copier; and scanner.
