About the Company

Mango is a new type of microscope. Our innovative approach enables us to grow microbes and observe their growth in real time. Located in West Los Angeles, our 19-person team combines expertise in business, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, and software development. We've honed our skills at various startups, including Snapchat, and now we're focused on turning this groundbreaking idea into a practical tool for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Term

Contract, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. On site in West Los Angeles.


Responsibilities

You will be working on a cutting-edge prototype assembly line, producing precision laboratory equipment for a growing number of customers. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to work alongside a diverse team of product designers, software engineers, manufacturing specialists, biologists and entrepreneurs. Your daily responsibilities include:


  • Precision assembly of mechanical, optical, and electronic parts using hand tools, semi-automated machinery and in-house designed fixtures
  • Cleaning and sterilizing parts
  • Reporting issues and feedback to key stakeholders
  • Working within a cleanroom to ensure a contaminant-free product (no experience needed, training provided)
  • Labeling, packaging, and shipping finished goods.
  • Taking and tracking inventory of incoming parts and materials
  • Generating and maintaining production records and reports
  • Post-processing 3D printed parts
  • Machine maintenance
  • Contribute to the overall success and goals of the company


Basic Qualifications


  • Minimum high school education or GED
  • Fine motor skills. Ideally you have experience with precision assembly, model making, or similar.
  • Basic computer skills (Google Suite)
  • Fluent in English
  • Authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship available for this role)
  • Willingness to learn and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with precision assembly, model making and/or production line assembly
  • Experience using 3D printers, laser cutters, dispensing robots, mold making, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, you will:


  • Wear full PPE for extended periods including safety glasses, face mask, hair net, nitrile gloves, lab coat and shoe covers
  • Work within a cleanroom environment
  • Use or operate assembly tools, fixtures and machinery
  • Visually inspect small parts and assemblies for defects
  • Sit or be stationary for prolonged periods of time
  • Stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Be comfortable working alone
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Compensation and Perks:


$20.00/per hour - $30.00/per hour. Depending on experience.
