ABOUT THE ROLE

Man Up is hiring a Fatherhood Specialist to lead our work with fathers and families in Holmes and Coshocton Counties through Ohio’s Responsible Fatherhood Initiative.

You’ll work directly with fathers who are at risk of entering the child welfare system as well as fathers working toward reunification with their children. You’ll coach fathers, lead Fatherhood Gatherings, supervise two Fatherhood Coaches, develop community partnerships, and oversee the program across both counties.

Man Up brings more than a decade of fatherhood experience, along with the curriculum, training, administrative support, and resources behind this initiative. You bring the local knowledge. We’re looking for someone who knows these communities, builds relationships naturally, and can work alongside the agencies, churches, organizations, and leaders already serving local families.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide individualized coaching to fathers and maintain a working caseload.
• Lead Fatherhood Gatherings at least twice each month.
• Supervise and support two Fatherhood Coaches.
• Help fathers address barriers involving employment, housing, child support, parenting, reentry, and other needs.
• Support fathers involved with Job and Family Services (DCY)and the Dept of Children and Youth (DCY) as they work toward case-plan goals and reunification.
• Develop strong working relationships with JFS/DCY, courts, churches, workforce organizations, and other community partners.
• Connect fathers with existing resources throughout Holmes and Coshocton Counties.
• Track participation and outcomes and complete required state reporting.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of experience in social services, case management, ministry, program leadership, or related work.
• Experience with child welfare or families navigating complex systems.
• Strong relationship-building and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Holmes and/or Coshocton County and the people and organizations serving local families.
• Ability to organize a program, manage details, and work independently.
• Personal Christian faith and commitment to Man Up’s mission.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between both counties.

A bachelor’s degree, supervisory experience, grant-reporting experience, or lived experience with fatherlessness, foster care, reentry, or recovery are helpful but not required.
