Some duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Care for patients by changing bed linens, washing, and ironing laundry, cleaning, or assisting with their personal care. Prepare meals and assist clients with eating and drinking.
- Provide patients with help moving in and out of the bed, wheelchair, or automobile and with dressing and grooming.
- Personal care including bathing, incontinence care, and other services.
- Provides friendly companionship and assistance with daily activities including dressing, guidance, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, running errands, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Transport and accompany patients to doctor's appointments or hospital.
- Ability to provide exceptional service and show empathy and compassion in the lives of the clients that you serve.
Requirements & Skills
- Work experience as a Direct Care Worker or similar role
- Ability to assist clients with mobility, personal care, and hygiene needs.
- Ability to perform basic housekeeping duties, run errands, and prepare meals.
- Vehicle for picking up prescriptions and errands with valid driver's license and insurance.
- Ability to lift 35+ lbs.
