Description

Qualifications

  • Previous optical experience is required.
  • This is a Part time onsite role with potential to become full-time.
  • Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, lens materials, coatings, and optical terminology.
  • Experience with frame adjustments, fittings, dispensing, and troubleshooting eyewear.
  • Familiarity with VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, Davis Vision, and other vision insurance plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on attentive listening, clear explanations, and inclusive, respectful service
  • Comfort with point-of-sale systems, basic computer skills
  • Detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter with impeccable taste and a positive spirit
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative environments
  • Strongly prefer someone who has experience working in luxury retail settings
  • Warm, articulate and dedicated to creating an elevated customer experience

Responsibilities:

  • Checking in patients and checking patients out.
  • Pre-test and support patient care with precision and empathy
  • Manage daily administrative flow
  • Provide individualized styling and optical guidance to help customers select frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preference
  • Educate patients on premium lens options, coatings, and specialty products.
  • Perform frame adjustments, fittings, dispensing, and minor repairs to ensure optimal comfort and vision.
  • Verify prescriptions, take accurate optical measurements (PD, OC heights, etc.), and assist with order processing.
  • Explain vision insurance benefits and maximize patient value while maintaining transparency.
  • Support optical merchandising by maintaining attractive, organized, and well-stocked frame displays.
  • Help achieve sales goals while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
