Cannabis Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for performing a variety of manufacturing and packaging activities based on a schedule implemented by the Manufacturing Director. The primary tasks needed for this open position is operating a pre-roll machine, performing machine maintenance, and communicating with the machine's manufacturer when issues arise. Additional tasks include but are not limited to, labeling packaging components, filling vape cartridges, producing and packaging a variety of edibles, printing and applying labels, assembling cases for distribution, reconciling inventories such as ingredients, finished units, and packaging components, preparing samples for quality assurance testing, ensuring secure and proper storage, and maintaining records required by rules and regulations, as well as the company’s policies and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY

Cannabis Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for performing a variety of manufacturing and packaging activities based on a schedule implemented by the Manufacturing Director. The primary tasks needed for this open position is operating a pre-roll machine, performing machine maintenance, and communicating with the machine's manufacturer when issues arise. Additional tasks include but are not limited to, labeling packaging components, filling vape cartridges, producing and packaging a variety of edibles, printing and applying labels, assembling cases for distribution, reconciling inventories such as ingredients, finished units, and packaging components, preparing samples for quality assurance testing, ensuring secure and proper storage, and maintaining records required by rules and regulations, as well as the company’s policies and procedures.


Cannabis Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for completing physical-log and electronic-form entries in real-time as tasks are performed each day. Applicants should have strong computer skills and the ability to use Google Sheets. Real-time updates and notifications to the Manufacturing Director and/or General Manager are required in situations of inventory shortages, miscounts leading to backorders, quality control issues, or any other situation threatening the quality or timely finish of a [WHT LBL] product.


Together, the Manufacturing Director and Cannabis Manufacturing Technicians assure manufacturing and packaging operations run efficiently and according to the established schedule and output goals.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Understanding of cannabis product categories, manufacturing processes, and food production safety. Ability to effectively follow the production plan, execute tasks, complete inventory entries and maintain records. Ability to comprehend complex situations and identify the appropriate course of action. Previous experience in a commercial food production operation, restaurant, or similar field is preferred. Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 20 lbs. for extended periods of time.


CORE JOB DUTIES

Mission, Policy, and Planning:

  • Keeps the Manufacturing Director and Inventory Manager fully informed on the condition of the operation and important influential factors. 
  • Identifies problems and addresses them; brings those that are appropriate to the Manufacturing Director or Inventory Manager.


Manufacturing Operations

  • Executes tasks based on the manufacturing and packaging schedule implemented by the Manufacturing Director.
  • Carefully measure all inputs and ingredients with high precision.
  • Ensures quality control measures across all [WHT LBL] products through diligent visible and physical analysis. Notifies the Manufacturing Director or General Manager of any observed quality control issues.
  • Completes accurate physical-log entries to record production activities performed each day. 
  • Assures core compliance requirements are met, including but not limited to, inventory entries, secure and proper storage, safe and clean work environment, proper handling of ingredients and input materials.


Packaging Operations 

  • Executes tasks based on the manufacturing and packaging schedule implemented by the Manufacturing Director.
  • Completes accurate daily entries to record packaging and assembly activities performed each day.
  • Assures core compliance requirements are met, including but not limited to, inventory entries, secure and proper storage, safe and clean work environment, proper handling of ingredients and input materials.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS REQUIRED

Assists with research, communications, or any other assigned projects/tasks.


JOB SKILLS

Attention to detail and understanding of product packaging, rules and regulations, and cannabis products. Ability to comprehend complex situations and identify the appropriate course of action. Previous experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or commercial food operation preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.


JOB SCOPE

Operates with direct supervision from the General Manager, Manufacturing Director, and Fulfillment Manager. Follows established policies and procedures and contributes to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures, as necessary to perform job duties and tasks.
