Position Summary
Project Coordinator supports production department by providing support to Project Managers. This role helps coordinate vendor relationships, project documentation, construction-related follow-up, and operational processes to ensure projects are planned, communicated, and executed effectively. The position works closely with Preconstruction and Production teams to support consistent project delivery and operational efficiency across the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support company operations by identifying, sourcing, and qualifying new vendors for onboarding.
- Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships to support project needs, pricing competitiveness, responsiveness, and quality expectations.
- Assist Project Managers with project coordination, documentation, scheduling follow-up, small job contracts, and other project management support needs, including writing all change orders, tracking budget items to help ensure projects stay on budget, and reviewing project budgets with Project Managers.
- Provide support to Project Managers by helping standardize processes, share information, resolve operational questions, and coordinate support between departments.
- Feed accurate and timely information into the project management software platform and help ensure project records remain current and complete.
- Assist with issue resolution, field coordination, and follow-up items as needed to keep projects moving forward and support successful delivery.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 5 or more years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, construction management, or a related operations role.
- Strong working knowledge of building trades, construction sequencing, vendor coordination, and residential project delivery.
- Ability to estimate services to process needed change orders and subcontract agreements.
- Experience sourcing, qualifying, and managing vendors, trade partners, or subcontractors.
- Ability to support multiple Project Managers, prioritize competing needs, and communicate clearly across departments.
- Excellent organizational, follow-up, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and the ability to maintain accurate project data, documentation, and reporting.
