Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations, financial reporting, and financial planning for our vacation rental properties.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports.
• Monthly reconciliation of all accounts and quarterly preparation of balance sheet and income statement forecasts.
• Manage and resolve chargebacks and financial disputes, coordinating with customer service and legal departments to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including but not limited to tax compliance.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Work with the Revenue Manager for Revenue Management strategies for the properties.
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the company.
• Manage and review the work external and internal teams.
• Communicate with property owners to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Review and approve financial transactions, such as payments and invoices.
• Participate in budget planning and forecasting.
• Coordinate with external tax partners to ensure timely and accurate submission of lodging taxes, and maintain records for compliance.
• Keep informed of industry trends and changes in regulations that may affect the company's finances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• 5 years experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, preferably in the short-term vacation rental industry.
• Prior experience in financial compliance within the vacation rental sector is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of the vacation rental industry's unique financial challenges and tax implications is a plus.
