SEASONAL MEDIA ASSISTANT: LUMINOUS TOUR

JOB TYPE: Part time, seasonal, hourly 

COMPENSATION: $20-23 per hour (negotiable with experience) 

ABOUT US 

The Luminous Tour is a new traveling dance workshop where the focus is on each student’s creative evolution. A typical event lasts from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and consists of movement classes, yoga classes, improvisation workshops, student showcases, and teacher events. Our educators understand the significance of their actions and words. We teach with the goal of tapping into each student’s creative potential, cumulating body awareness for longevity in dance, and experiencing the JOY in movement. We want our students to love learning, and we aim to create a space that allows them to experience the positive impact that dance can have on the body, mind, and soul.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Can travel during convention weekends from Friday to Sunday (or Monday if needed)
• Is a team player!
• Has strong organizational and analytical skills 
• Is detail oriented and is determined to dig in and solve problems
• Has excellent communication skills and values integrity
• Is down for any task! Convention setup, execution, and take down requires helping one another, quick thinking, creativity, and problem solving - we ask that you keep an open mind where needed!
• Media/AV experience preferred
• Assistant, crew, or dance competition/convention experience a plus!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help with convention setup and strike
• Assist lead photographer + lead videographer with media tasks during convention weekends
• Learn basic AV setup at events and give classroom assistance when needed
• Work backstage at Saturday evening showcases
• Monitor and manage photo/video booth on Sundays during events
• Discuss media pricing and checkout with students, parents, and guardians and while providing great customer service
