The Luminous Tour Dance Convention is hiring a Crew Manager to manage Artist Crew members + customer experience.



JOB TYPE: Part time, seasonal, hourly 

COMPENSATION: $25-28 per hour (negotiable with experience) 



The Luminous Tour is a new traveling dance workshop where the focus is on each student’s creative evolution. A typical event lasts from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and consists of movement classes, yoga classes, improvisation workshops, student showcases, and teacher events. Our educators understand the significance of their actions and words. We teach with the goal of tapping into each student’s creative potential, cumulating body awareness for longevity in dance, and experiencing the JOY in movement. We want our students to love learning, and we aim to create a space that allows them to experience the positive impact that dance can have on the body, mind, and soul.


The Luminous Tour is dedicated to the joy in movement. We train artists to cultivate a safe, enjoyable, and growth oriented dance community. Luminous promises to uphold the highest standard for inclusion, safety, and education. Our goal is to be the most professional and inspiring dance workshop in the industry. Luminous is a safe space where students can focus on their personal growth, tune their creativity skills, and learn to understand the value of community over competition.

  • Is able to begin within the next 60 days
  • Can travel during convention weekends from Friday to Sunday (or Monday if needed)
  • Has experience leading a team with empathy, grace, and productivity
  • Has strong organizational and analytical skills 
  • Is an in the moment problem solver
  • Is detail oriented and is determined to dig in and solve problems
  • Has excellent communication skills and values integrity
  • Is down for any task! Convention setup, execution, and take down requires helping one another, quick thinking, creativity, and problem solving - we ask that you keep an open mind where needed!
  • Team management experience required
  • Customer service experience required
  • Schedule making + run of show experience preferred
  • Dance competition/convention experience a plus!




  • Manage Artist Crew members at all Luminous Tour workshops
  • Help with convention setup and strike
  • Assist Artistic Director with tasks leading up to and at convention
  • Manage backstage crew at Saturday evening showcases
  • Manage registration + retail booths during convention
  • Manage customer experience + expectations at events
  • Create Artist Crew schedules and run of show for events
  • Manage and audit staff time clocks for payroll
  • Audit, manage, and order supplies for events as needed
