Massage Therapist

Love Tonya Wellness is hiring a Massage Therapist in Fayetteville, NC.

Love Tonya Wellness is a veteran-owned wellness business focused on helping clients improve mobility, reduce pain, manage stress, and feel supported through therapeutic bodywork and whole-health care. We proudly serve disabled veterans, wellness clients, and members of our local community.

We are looking for a caring, teachable, professional Massage Therapist who wants meaningful work, steady hourly pay, and hands-on mentorship. New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

About the Role

As a Massage Therapist at Love Tonya Wellness, you will provide therapeutic massage services in a professional wellness setting. You will work with clients who may be dealing with chronic pain, muscle tension, limited mobility, stress, or service-related conditions.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their skills, learn medical-style documentation, and be part of a business that values both client care and therapist development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide professional massage therapy sessions based on client needs, treatment goals, and scope of practice.

Perform client intake, basic assessments, and session planning.

Complete SOAP notes and required documentation in a timely and professional manner.

Support clients with therapeutic massage, wellness education, and appropriate self-care guidance.

Maintain a clean, safe, calm, and professional treatment environment.

Follow business policies, privacy expectations, and client confidentiality standards.

Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and management.

Participate in training related to Love Tonya Wellness treatment standards, VA Community Care processes, and medical SOAP note documentation.

Assist with hands-on and hands-off duties as needed, including session preparation, documentation, room turnover, and client care support.

Requirements

Must be a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist in North Carolina, or actively working toward licensure if applying as a new graduate.

Must be professional, reliable, teachable, and open to training.

Must have strong boundaries, good communication skills, and a heart for helping others.

Must be able to follow documentation requirements and complete SOAP notes accurately.

Must be comfortable working with veterans, clients with chronic pain, and clients who may need a patient, supportive approach.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy expectations.

Must be dependable with scheduling and attendance.

Desired Skills

Experience with therapeutic massage, medical massage, deep tissue, myofascial techniques, assisted stretching, or pain-focused bodywork is helpful, but not required.

Interest in working with disabled veterans and chronic pain clients.

Willingness to learn VA Community Care standards and medical SOAP note documentation.

Strong listening skills and the ability to adjust sessions based on client needs.

A calm, compassionate, professional presence.

Desire to grow as a therapist through mentorship and continued training.

Pay and Training

Pay starts at $23 per hour and increases to $25 per hour after 90 days, based on successful completion of the probationary period and performance expectations.

This is guaranteed hourly pay. You are paid for hands-on and hands-off time, whether your schedule is full or not.

Training is provided, including VA Community Care processes, medical SOAP notes, and Love Tonya Wellness treatment standards. Some continuing education training may also be paid for.
