Job Overview: As a Bankruptcy Partner, you will be responsible for managing and growing our bankruptcy practice. You will provide expert legal counsel to clients, represent them in bankruptcy proceedings, and develop strategic solutions to complex financial restructurings. Your role will also involve business development, maintaining client relationships, and mentoring junior attorneys.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the firm’s bankruptcy practice, providing strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of bankruptcy cases.


  • Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.


  • Advise clients on bankruptcy and restructuring strategies, creditor rights, and financial workouts.


  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex bankruptcy and insolvency matters.


  • Stay current with developments in bankruptcy law and industry trends to provide informed advice to clients.


  • Collaborate with clients, creditors, and other stakeholders to negotiate and implement restructuring plans.


  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to bankruptcy and financial restructuring.


  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff, fostering professional growth and development.


  • Develop and execute business development strategies to attract new clients and expand the practice.


  • Maintain and grow a strong book of business, leveraging existing client relationships and networks.


  • Participate in firm leadership and contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the firm.


Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with a proven track record of handling complex bankruptcy cases.
  • Strong book of business with established client relationships.
  • Expertise in federal and state bankruptcy laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Active involvement in professional organizations related to bankruptcy and insolvency law.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
