The Regional Sales Director is a critical and highly rewarding position responsible for achieving annual revenue goals and influencing the company’s growth. This role will develop and foster relationships with key decision-makers at biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies with complementary development pipelines to secure business opportunities for OrganaBio. Equally important, this position offers the right candidate the opportunity to consult directly with clients to drive their cell and gene therapy programs to clinic faster. The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate thought leadership within the organization and be a key contributor to delivering on company objectives.

Essential Functions:

·      Prospecting: Actively seeking out new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and markets within the West Coast region.

·      Cold Calling: Initiating and managing cold calls to generate new leads and convert them into sales opportunities.

·      Conference Travel: Traveling to industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the company's products and services, and to build relationships with key stakeholders.

·      Market Identification and Growth: Analyzing market trends and data to identify new markets and opportunities for growth within the territory, and developing strategies to capitalize on them.

·      Sales Strategy Development: Collaborating with the senior management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the West Coast market.

·      Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

·      Reporting and Documentation: Preparing detailed sales reports and documentation to track progress and provide insights for future planning.

Account Management: Managing and growing existing customer accounts to ensure continued satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

·      Market Analysis: Conducting in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the West Coast region.

·      Event Coordination: Organizing and participating in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.

·      Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

·      Sales Strategy Development: Collaborating with the senior management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the West Coast market.

Reporting and Documentation: Preparing detailed sales reports and documentation to track progress and provide insights for future planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving company goals.

Budget Management: Assisting in the management of the sales budget and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI.

Position Qualifications

·      Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and goals.

·      Cold Calling Expertise: Effective at initiating and managing cold calls to generate new leads and opportunities.

·      Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cellular biology, blood- and cellular-based products (like leukopaks, immune cells, stem cells, etc.) and manufacturing processes, as well as the target markets and ability to tailor sales strategies to meet their specific needs.

·      Sales Strategy Development: Experience in developing and implementing successful sales strategies that drive growth and revenue.

·      Customer Relationship Management: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

·      Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing market trends and data to identify opportunities and challenges.

·      Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.

·      Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.

·      Event Coordination: Experience in organizing and participating in industry events and trade shows to promote products and services.


Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or related area. Graduate degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years sales experience specifically selling cellular-based products, equipment, and/or manufacturing services. Proven sales track record in the relevant product line.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software (HubSpot preferred).

Certificates & Licenses: None required.

Other Requirements:

·      Independent, self-started comfortable with working in a start-up like environment and managing west-coast hours (PST).

·      Ability to work flexible hours to meet business and/or customer needs.

·      Maintain honesty, integrity, and excellent work ethic.

$100,000 - $150,000 per year
