Role Overview

You will own backend systems that power our AI voice agent. This includes API and service design, integrations with external systems, and production stability. You will work closely with the founders and engineering team to ship features end-to-end and improve reliability as the platform scales.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs
• Implement integrations with POS, reservation, payments, and voice transcription providers
• Improve system reliability, performance, and monitoring as customer volume grows

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years of professional experience with software development
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration
• Experience with SQL databases
• Proficiency with systems design principles

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Track record of feature ownership and bringing projects to production
• Experience building applications with LLMs or generative AI models
• Experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience integrating with restaurant POS systems (Toast, Square, Clover, or similar)
• Experience integrating with voice transcription API services
• Experience with LLM agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph)
• Background in human-AI interaction or conversational UX
