It is an opportunity to gain hands on salon experience, earn tips while assisting clients, learn Locs of Love standards and techniques, work alongside experienced stylists, and prepare for future growth into a stylist position within our company. Description
Career Path: Salon Assistant → Stylist
Responsibilities
The Salon Assistant will support our stylists and salon operations by:
• Shampooing and conditioning clients as assigned
• Preparing clients for services
• Assisting stylists during services when needed
• Providing excellent service while assisting clients, with the opportunity to receive tips
• Sanitizing and disinfecting tools, equipment, shampoo bowls, and work areas
• Sweeping and maintaining clean salon floors throughout the day
• Keeping shampoo and styling areas clean and organized
• Washing, folding, and maintaining towels and salon linens
• Restocking products, supplies, towels, and sanitation materials
• Preparing stations and supplies for upcoming clients
• Assisting with salon opening and closing duties
• Helping maintain the cleanliness of common areas, break areas, and restrooms
• Supporting front desk and guest experience needs when necessary
• Learning Locs of Love service standards, sanitation procedures, client experience expectations, and salon operations
• Participating in training and professional development opportunities
• Completing other salon support duties as assigned.

Previous salon experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to grow.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour + tips
