Position Summary
Local4 is seeking a reliable and motivated Renovation Technician I to perform skilled interior renovation work on residential and light commercial projects. This position requires hands-on experience in drywall installation, taping and joint finishing, flooring installation, framing, and painting. The Renovation Technician I works independently on assigned tasks and contributes to maintaining high-quality workmanship and professional job site standards across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install drywall, including hanging, taping, and joint finishing
- Perform basic framing and carpentry tasks
- Install various flooring materials
- Prepare and paint interior surfaces
- Measure and cut materials accurately
- Install trim, doors, and basic finish carpentry elements as assigned
- Follow project plans, layouts, and instructions accurately
- Assist with job site preparation and protection
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow company safety guidelines and OSHA best practices
- Communicate progress and material needs to management
Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in interior renovation work
- Ability to work independently on defined tasks with minimal supervision
- Hands-on proficiency with standard construction tools and equipment (e.g., drills, impact drivers, saws, levels, measuring tools, drywall finishing tools, flooring installation tools)
- Ability to follow project plans, layouts, and written instructions accurately
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to travel to and from job sites
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn additional skills
Scope Limitations
This role does not include licensed trade work such as plumbing, advanced electrical work, or work requiring state licensing or permits unless supervised by appropriately licensed personnel.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in indoor renovation environments
