Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Design and Production Coordinator to join our dynamic team and help bring our events to life. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and designing exceptional weddings, crafting stunning visuals, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring every detail is executed to perfection. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, have strong communication skills and have a passion for design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wedding Design & Conceptualization: Develop unique design concepts for weddings and events that reflect the clients’ vision.
- Mood Boards & Design Decks: Create compelling visual presentations that showcase event aesthetics, themes, and design elements.
- Vendor Coordination: Perform RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes with florists, production teams, fabricators, rentals, linens, and stationery vendors.
- Timeline Development: Establish and manage production timelines to ensure smooth execution.
- 3D Design & Layouts: Utilize SketchUp or other 3D design tools to create spatial layouts and design concepts.
- Communication: Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Collaboration Tools: Utilize technology to organize tasks, communicate, and deliver on project goals effectively.
- Budget Management: Track costs and ensure adherence to allocated budgets.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively troubleshoot issues and develop solutions to ensure flawless execution.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Background in Architecture, Spatial Design, or Interior Design is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, Slack, Notion, Canva, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience or exposure to SketchUp or other 3D design software is a must.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in event design or production is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wedding industry trends and standards.
- Familiarity with luxury weddings and high-end clientele is a plus.
