At Living Roots, we're building on a 170-year family legacy of winemaking, one that began six generations ago in South Australia. Today, we make wine on two different continents, in the regions around our two hometowns – the Finger Lakes of New York and the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.

Responsibilities:

• To the best of your ability, be a thoughtful, enthusiastic, and productive team member who contributes to a positive work environment and proudly represents Living Roots.
• Have a proficient knowledge of Living Roots history, products, offerings, wine clubs, policies and standards.
• Educate yourself on all of our available wines to be able to thoughtfully make recommendations for customers and share wine knowledge in an engaging way.
• Maintain a safe and clean work space that is thoughtful of both other team members and guests' experience and perception.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, compliance regulations, liquor laws, inspections, and audits by completing the required food, alcohol, harassment and company trainings before working first non-training shift.
• Complete your work with sustainability and stewardship at the forefront of your mind. Living Roots has taken measures to effectively recycle, compost, and mitigate as much of our waste as possible. This position plays an active part in the follow through of that priority.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.

Requirements:

• Previous customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or wine industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for wine and a desire to learn and expand knowledge about wine.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. from the ground frequently throughout shift.
• Standing for entire shift.
