Position Overview & Purpose

The Director of Field Services will lead both regional Field Service teams in delivery of all Services for a greenfield fiber-based broadband ISP. This position will be expected to build the Field Services organization from the ground up in GA and FL. This will be a field force of employees and resources to install, repair, and maintain service elements of a state-of-the-art PON infrastructure.

Being a key to market success, the Field Operations organization must excel in quality and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced leader who understands what is required to build a team focused on these two metrics while also possessing the skills to effectively manage a high-volume delivery organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborates with executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies as they pertain to field services
• Casts vision for world class Field Services organization and hires team from the ground up
• Ensures pace of delivery targets are being met
• Oversee all functions pertaining to the delivery and support of services
• Establish quantifiably robust training program for workforce development from entry to mastery
• Ensures adequate staffing in both regions to meet high scale demands of growing company
• Collaborates with Program Management and Sales to ensure consistent customer experience

• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Outstanding working knowledge of Program Management and Field Operations
• Demonstrated leadership and teambuilding skills, including in cross functional teams and situations
• Process oriented, automation forward thinker
• Strong leadership and motivational skills to steer large field organization

Basic Qualifications & Competencies

·      4-year college degree, or equivalent experience

·      10 or more years’ work experience in Telco/Cable Field Operations

·      Director/Sr. Director level or higher in current role

·      Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

• 5+ years’ experience leading regional Field Operations organizations
• Heavy emphasis in career on delivery automation
• Has led field teams of 200+ technicians/managers
