A Speech-Language Pathologist at Little Peach Pediatric Therapy is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized therapy that helps children find their voice, both literally and figuratively. This role brings clinical expertise and heartfelt care together: evaluating communication needs, building meaningful treatment plans, and showing up every day for the kids and families we serve. A CCC-SLP plays a central role in our multidisciplinary team, partnering alongside other speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and behavioral health providers to deliver individualized care.

Description

Our therapy team is the heartbeat of our clinic. Through your role of evaluating, treating, and collaborating, you'll directly shape the communication trajectories of children across Central Alabama. Every session, every goal, every home plan you send home is a ripple effect, and we can't wait to see the impact you'll make.


What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and assess communication abilities, including but not limited to speech, language, fluency, pragmatics, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), voice, cognition, and feeding/swallowing (if applicable) for children ages infant through 18, using observation and standardized assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans rooted in evaluation findings and specific diagnoses
  • Provide direct therapy services in a clinic-based setting, grounded in evidence-based strategies
  • Collect and record accurate data on client performance during therapy sessions
  • Communicate with families and caregivers, including progress updates and home plans to support carryover
  • Collaborate with therapy team members to deliver cohesive, interdisciplinary care
  • Follow supervision guidelines and maintain clear communication with SLPAs (if applicable)
  • Monitor client progress and facilitate appropriate discharge planning
  • Refer clients to additional professionals as clinically indicated
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner:
  • Evaluations & re-evaluations: due within 2 weeks of the evaluation date
  • Goals: entered immediately following evaluation
  • Daily notes: due within 24 hours of the appointment
  • Discharges: due within 2 weeks of the last appointment
  • Tidy, disinfect, and maintain your treatment space and shared clinic areas between sessions
  • Supervise students and/or therapy assistants as applicable
  • Maintain your Alabama CCC-SLP license, ASHA certification, and all continuing education requirements
  • Contribute to clinic growth initiatives during clinical development time, including documentation of daily notes, initial evaluations, and re-evaluations, content creation in partnership with our Marketing Manager, Teachers Pay Teachers materials, blog posts, family resources, and more

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Alabama CCC-SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • ASHA Certification
  • Ability to pass a background check, reference check, and drug screening
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
