Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, feeding, and communication evaluations using standardized assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and functional, measurable goals
- Deliver therapy services in a clinic-based setting, with occasional opportunities for school or home collaboration
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and re-evaluations
- Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development into clinical work
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and co-treatments as appropriate
- Provide clinical supervision to licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Alabama SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in pediatric settings is preferred but not required
- Ability to pass background check, reference check, and drug screening
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- A patient, energetic, and professional demeanor
