Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement speech, language, and communication therapy activities as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Assist in carrying out treatment plans and goals developed by the supervising SLP
- Provide direct therapy services in a clinic-based setting under SLP supervision
- Collect and record accurate data on client performance during therapy sessions
- Support communication with families and caregivers as directed by the supervising SLP
- Utilize evidence-based materials and strategies provided by the SLP
- Collaborate with other therapy team members to support interdisciplinary care
- Follow all supervision guidelines and maintain communication with the supervising
SLP Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Alabama SLPA license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in pediatric settings is preferred but not required
- Ability to pass background check, reference check, and drug screening
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- A patient, energetic, and professional demeanor
