Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement speech, language, and communication therapy activities as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Assist in carrying out treatment plans and goals developed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide direct therapy services in a clinic-based setting under SLP supervision
  • Collect and record accurate data on client performance during therapy sessions
  • Support communication with families and caregivers as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Utilize evidence-based materials and strategies provided by the SLP
  • Collaborate with other therapy team members to support interdisciplinary care
  • Follow all supervision guidelines and maintain communication with the supervising


SLP Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Alabama SLPA license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in pediatric settings is preferred but not required
  • Ability to pass background check, reference check, and drug screening
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • A patient, energetic, and professional demeanor
