POSITION TYPE: Administrative

LOCATION: Baltimore County (Various School Sites)

SCHEDULE: Full Time (12-Month)

REPORTS TO: President, Principal Educational Consultant


DEFINITION

The Site Coordinator, under the direction of the President and/or Principal Education Consultant, is responsible for managing staff, operations, and instructional programs across designated sites. The role includes ensuring program fidelity, optimizing resource use, and fostering excellence in teaching practices aligned with Literacy Lightbulb Corporation’s mission and the policies of the institution(s) we are serving.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Site Coordinator will:

  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee programs and provide leadership for teachers and support staff.
  • Review lesson plans to ensure alignment with approved curricula, instructional objectives, and organizational policies.
  • Cultivate an instructional environment conducive to students' intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Oversee the implementation and assessment of curriculum and instructional programs.
  • Monitor instructor performance, providing timely feedback, coaching, and support for professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Consultant, school administrators, and stakeholders to set and achieve measurable student success goals.
  • Facilitate daily virtual and/or in-person check-ins with instructional staff to ensure readiness and alignment.
  • Organize and lead weekly staff meetings, offering training and development based on site visit observations and future needs.


  • Conduct periodic virtual and in-person training sessions for parents and other stakeholders on academic best practices.
  • Represent Literacy Lightbulb in meetings with district and school leadership, communicating program details and progress effectively.
  • Serve as a liaison between school leadership, parents, and stakeholders to maintain transparency and collaboration.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education or a related field.
  • Experience in educational administration or comparable leadership experience is preferred.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Possession of a valid Maryland Educator Certificate or equivalent certification is required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Background in early childhood education or literacy education.
  • Structured Literacy and/or Science of Reading training is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in instructional strategies evidence-based practices in education
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and tasks independently or collaboratively.
  • Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Competent in using technology for communication, reporting, and data analysis, including proficiency with platforms such as Gusto, Google Suite, and virtual meeting tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to write detailed reports 
  • Ability to evaluate and monitor the performance of teaching and support staff to ensure alignment with program goals.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is primarily performed in a school setting, requiring mobility around the school and classrooms.
  • Ability to carry materials and equipment as needed.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Reliable transportation to travel to multiple school sites.
  • Must possess a portable electronic device (e.g., laptop) for accessing company platforms and completing and submitting reports.
  • Must meet citizenship, residency, or work visa requirements in the United States.
