In search of a compassionate, skilled psychotherapist to join an established PMNHP-owned private practice in Virginia. Position may be telehealth-only or hybrid.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCW) or Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team of psychiatric nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate has experience in various therapeutic modalities and is independently licensed to provide individual psychotherapy to adolescent and adult clients, helping them navigate through various mental health challenges. We are a busy, established practice and will be able to help establish a caseload quickly.
Schedule:
- Flexible scheduling based on your preferred hours
- Flexibility regarding client caseload
- This can be a part-time hourly W2 position or a 1099 contracted position based on therapist preference. Hourly pay is based on degree and experience. 1099 contract would be a 70/30 split.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual psychotherapy sessions to help clients better understand and overcome mental health conditions and psychosocial stressors
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
- Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques based on individual client needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each client
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plan as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in multiple therapeutic styles and modalities
- Strong background in behavioral health and therapy, experience in trauma is a plus
- Understanding of charting requirements and confidentiality
- Good time management, organization, and drive for self-improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, warm, empathetic approach towards clients
Requirements
- Licensed to practice independently as an LPC or LCSW in Virginia
- Experience in using multiple therapeutic modalities for independent psychotherapy
- Willingness to collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners on patient cases
- Experience in treating both adolescents and adults
- Ability to provide trauma-informed, compassionate care
- Have a quiet space to provide therapy via telehealth and maintain client confidentiality
- Master's degree and appropriate federal and state licensing
