Linworth Children’s Center has provided educational services to our community for more than twenty years! We offer quality programming for kids from 6-weeks old all the way through our Ohio Department of Education chartered Kindergarten program, serving more than 300 children each year.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our LCC staff and take on the role of nurturing and educating infants in our care. As a member of our infant room team, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for the youngest members of our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Child Care and Supervision:

Provide attentive and loving care to infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months.

Ensure a safe and secure environment for all infants, adhering to health and safety standards.

Monitor and supervise infants during playtime, meals, and naptime.

Education & Development:

Lead developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate and engage infants in various areas of growth, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Foster language development through age-appropriate communication and interactive experiences.

Individualized Attention:

Provide individualized attention to each infant, recognizing and responding to their unique needs and developmental milestones.

Build strong relationships with both infants and their families, fostering open communication and collaboration.

Health and Hygiene:

Assist with diapering, feeding, and maintaining proper hygiene practices for infants.

Monitor and document any health-related concerns, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each infant's daily activities, including feeding, sleeping, and developmental progress.

Communicate regularly with parents about their child's experiences and milestones.

Professional Development:

Stay informed about current best practices in early childhood education.

Attend required workshops and training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other early childhood educators and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of LCC

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience working with infants in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for working with infants.

Flexible based on desired hours. Center hours are Mon - Fri, 7am - 6pm.
