The Shift Supervisor / Cashier is the senior person on the floor during their shift. You run the register, own the guest experience, lead the pre-shift huddle, and ensure the team executes to standard from open to close. This is a dual role — you are the face of the store to the guest and the operational anchor for the team. You will be supported by the Lead Baker on production and report to the Operations Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Register & Guest Service
• Operate the POS system — process orders, handle payments, issue receipts, and manage the display case
• Greet every guest with warmth and deliver the Feeling First experience: make them feel Seen, Safe, Surprised, Valued, and like they Belong
• Manage order fulfillment — coordinate with the bakery team to ensure bread and menu items are ready and packaged to standard
• Handle guest complaints and escalations with professionalism and urgency; resolve at the front before they reach the Operations Manager
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-of-house throughout the shift
Shift Leadership
• Lead the pre-shift huddle — communicate daily targets, role assignments, and any operational notes
• Execute the opening or closing checklist completely and on time every shift
• Monitor team pace, positioning, and task completion — step in to cover gaps as needed
• Report any staffing, equipment, or safety issues to the Operations Manager immediately
• Hold the team accountable to food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
• 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing QSR, retail, or food service role
• Cash handling and POS experience
• Natural leadership presence — people follow your lead without needing to be asked
• Calm under pressure and able to manage a busy register and floor simultaneously
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
Preferred
• Prior shift lead, keyholder, or supervisory experience
• Familiarity with Filipino or Chinese bakery products
• Bilingual in Filipino (Tagalog), or Spanish
$17 - $23 per hour
