Position Summary

This is a largely self-managed role focused on building, executing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms. The Paid Social Media Manager is responsible for audience research, campaign setup, creative direction, performance analysis, reporting, and ongoing optimization aligned with industry best practices. This role supports clients across various industries, with a primary emphasis on medical clients, and collaborates closely with content, design, and strategy teams to drive measurable results through paid social advertising.


Position Details

  1. Direct Supervisor - Director of Content
  2. Essential Job Functions
  3. Develop, implement, and manage paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.).
  4. Build and refine custom audiences based on platform tools, client data, and strategic targets.
  5. Manage and optimize monthly client ad budgets to achieve performance goals and maintain efficient spend.
  6. Create ad copy and collaborate with design to produce or request necessary creative assets.
  7. Coordinate with the content and strategy teams to ensure paid campaigns align with overarching marketing goals, messaging, and brand tone.
  8. Monitor campaign performance daily/weekly, making data-driven adjustments to improve KPIs.
  9. Conduct A/B testing of creative, copy, and audiences to identify top-performing variations.
  10. Pull, analyze, and present campaign analytics in recurring client meetings or internal strategy reviews.
  11. Audit client accounts regularly to ensure accurate tracking, consistent naming conventions, and platform adherence to best practices.
  12. Perform competitive research and discover new paid social opportunities to generate qualified leads and support client growth.
  13. Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging paid trends to enhance performance.
  14. Collaborate with internal teams on paid media education, brainstorming sessions, and cross-department marketing initiatives.
  15. Maintain strict adherence to client brand guidelines regarding voice, tone, and visual standards.
  16. Assist with overflow in organic social media efforts (e.g., scheduling posts, copy reviews) as needed.


Position Requirements

  1. Mastery of paid social media advertising, including campaign setup, optimization, and analytics.
  2. Strong understanding of media buying principles (e.g., bidding strategies, attribution, budget pacing).
  3. Working knowledge of design and creative direction; Figma experience a plus.
  4. Ability to write clear, concise ad copy that aligns with brand voice and performance objectives.
  5. Understanding of marketing funnels, messaging hierarchy, and storytelling within paid campaigns.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  7. Either:
  8. Demonstrated paid media experience; or
  9. 2+ years of experience managing paid social campaigns in an agency or in-house environment.
  10. Assessment required prior to interview.
  11. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  12. Willingness to collaborate with content, design, dev, and strategy teams and receive constructive feedback.
  13. Experience with social media management or social listening tools (SproutSocial, Hootsuite, etc.) a plus.
  14. Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4) a plus.
  15. Experience with SEO or other digital marketing channels a plus (for cross-channel alignment, not execution).


Salary

$65,000 - $75,000 per year
