Position Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and talented Copy Editor to join our team, focusing on refining web copy for both medical and non-medical businesses. As a Copy Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of our clients’ online content. You will collaborate closely with our content creators, designers, and project managers to deliver polished and effective web copy that meets our clients’ objectives and adheres to industry standards.
Position Requirements
- Review and edit web copy for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style, ensuring it adheres to brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Verify the accuracy of medical and non-medical terminology, ensuring content is clear, concise, and easily understood by diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with content creators to enhance the clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness of written content, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Conduct thorough fact-checking and research to ensure the accuracy of medical information and claims presented in web copy.
- Optimize web copy for SEO by incorporating relevant keywords, metadata, and formatting techniques to improve search engine visibility and rankings.
- Maintain consistency across various platforms and channels, including websites, blogs, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to medical and non-medical content, ensuring compliance and adherence to guidelines.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field or 2 years experience as a Copy Editor
- Proven experience as a copy editor, preferably in a web design or marketing agency setting.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and AP style.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to fact-check and verify information from reputable sources.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and the ability to optimize web content for search engines, or the ability to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate effectively, and provide constructive feedback.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and a solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance) is a plus.
- Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with web design principles are a plus.
Please note- Lifted Logic operates on a hybrid work scheduled and all employees are required to be in office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday)
