The core function of this position is to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead the accounting department. This position is full-time, in-office, and reports directly to the CEO of Liftable Media Inc.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide upper management with financial reports each month
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Train and develop bookkeepers and accountants on the team
  • Drive the timing for monthly billing
  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
  • Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
  • Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations
  • Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet
  • Manage the reconciliations of accounts
  • Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a credible college or university required (accounting, finance, or related field preferred)
  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience is a plus (not required)
  • Must have a good understanding of GAAP accounting
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Must be highly proficient in QuickBooks software
  • Must be detail-oriented 
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to effectively communicate recommendations and/or ideas
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

Salary

$70,000 - $100,000 per year
