The Faraway House Person is someone passionate about the guest experience and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. The responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and assisting the room attendants with all duties. This role is integral in executing a comfortable and enjoyable guest experience.

Responsibilities 

• Daily tasks include stripping and making beds, removing trash, replenishing terry and amenities, maintaining housekeeping closets and assisting with laundry and housekeeping as needed.
• Complete touch-ups to public spaces on a daily basis
• Assist with unloading and loading of linens at the dock and at the Hotel property
• Follow all established department cleaning standards and safety procedures.
• Properly communicate maintenance repair needs and safety hazards to supervising team members. 
• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. 
• Perform other duties as assigned and requested to meet the needs of the business.

• Strong attention to completing tasks quickly and efficiently. 
• Genuine desire to be helpful: able to jump in and assist other departments when necessary.

Requirements & Experience

• Clear understanding of the English language (verbal and written).
• Ability to professionally clean and prepare up to 10 rooms per day according to hotel cleanliness standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Effective time management skills in order to ensure completion of all assigned tasks. 
• Communication skills and ability to listen effectively.
• Attention to detail to detect room cleanliness and discrepancies.
