The Seminar Presenter is initially a 1099 contractor (with growth potential) responsible for delivering live, in-person educational retirement workshops to 50-70 year olds approaching or in retirement. This role is engaging in nature, based on education and information. The presenter will deliver story-based teaching presentations, and will not be advising on any financial products or services. The Seminar Presenter generates 1st Appointments with Qualified Prospects. These are opportunities to have a private advisory conversation with a professional financial advisor at no charge, and no risks of sales pressures. The Seminar Presenter is engaged as a contractor. This is an event-based role applied for through an employer-paid audition, and earns per-event fees, and performance-based bonuses.

Role Overview

As a Seminar Presenter, you will:

  • Learn and use the Leverage Planners formatted presentations, as designed and refined by Anthony Robbins’ original Lead Speaker (1989-1994,) and Leverage Planners Senior Advisor, David Donhoff
  • Deliver retirement education workshops clearly and calmly
  • Set participant expectations honestly and respectfully
  • Schedule Qualified Prospects who want to schedule an Advisory Session, at no charge or risk, with a Leverage Planners financial advisor
  • Filter out participants who do not meet qualification criteria


This role does not include:

  • Financial advising, selling products, or services
  • Persuading participants to make financial decisions
  • Using urgency, scarcity, or high-pressure tactics


Qualified First Meetings

After the workshop, book qualified prospects who want to schedule an Advisory Session, at no charge or risk, with a Leverage Planners financial advisor.  Presenters do not discuss, recommend, or sell specific financial products.

A “Qualified First Meeting” meets the following criteria:

  1. Attendee keeps their scheduled first meeting
  2. Attendee has $500,000 or more in investible assets (excluding real estate)
  3. Attendee wants a comprehensive, tax-efficient, safety-first planning approach
  4. Attendee is not expected to be pre-decided on the firm

Bonus compensation is tied to appointments kept by qualified prospects only; bonuses are not paid for attendees who do not meet these criteria or who do not attend the meeting.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Delivery & Participant Engagement

  • Lead educational workshops professionally, with both humor and authenticity
  • Use presentation stories to prequalify prospects without pressure
  • Ensure prospects have a clear understanding of Leverage Planners process
  • Secure appointment commitments with qualified prospects

Performance & Metrics

  • Compensation includes base pay per workshop plus a performance-based bonus for kept, qualified first meetings.
  • Bonus per qualified meeting is determined by your monthly kept-rate:
  • Below 60% kept-rate: $0 per qualified meeting
  • 60–69% kept-rate: $25 per qualified meeting
  • 70–79% kept-rate: $50 per qualified meeting
  • 80% or higher kept-rate: $75 per qualified meeting

Note: The presenter’s role is to engagingly educate, and secure 1st appointments; Leverage Planners Advisors conduct the 1st appointments. Bonuses are only paid for meetings that are both kept and qualified, as defined in the “Qualified First Meetings” section.

Event Cadence & Scheduling

  • Workshops are offered 4–10 times per month
  • Contractors provide their availability in advance, each month
  • Schedule is flexible; volume may increase based on mutual agreement

Required Experience & Competencies

  • Engaging and commitment-generating public teaching skills
  • Ability to simplify complex topics accurately, clearly, and calmly
  • Ability to use “story selling” to prequalify prospects respectfully
  • Strong follow-through and execution mindset

Preferred:

  • Experience in corporate, nonprofit, or professional event hosting
  • Radio, television, or media presentation experience
  • Comfort in a flexible, performance-based 1099 role

Compensation

  • Paid Try-Out Audition: $200 for a 20-minute teaching demonstration
  • (Audition Invitations by Selection from Video Application)
  • Base Pay: $500 per workshop (1–2 hour session; prep time not included)
  • Performance Bonus: $25–$75 per kept, qualified first meeting, based on kept-rate tiers above

This is a contract 1099 role; no benefits or W2 employment are included. Compensation is based on events accepted and kept, qualified first meetings only.
