We are a women-owned laundry and organizational platform that was founded in March of 2022. Ally and Mary Catherine (the owners) are long time high school friends who are extremely passionate about creating a way to 'lessen' the most time consuming household burden - LAUNDRY!

In a nutshell: Our platform consists of women who help other women, families and businesses “lessen their loads,” get organized and ultimately live a life without laundry (and clutter)! Our laundry and organizational specialists offer an array of in- and out-of-home services.

A bit about us: The Lessen the Loads platform consists of about 75 women who live in and service the following counties: Berks, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia. In addition to those counties, we service parts of Wilmington DE and surrounding areas. LTL Laundry Specialists love helping “lessen the load” and enjoy going above and beyond for members of the community (aka clients). Our platform is always looking for like minded individuals who want to offer their services & be a part of something different - a company that truly cares.

The most popular services offered by Laundry & Organization Specialists are listed below (this is not inclusive of all of them):

• Pick-Up/Drop-Off - Client's laundry is left outside of their home, picked up by you, washed, dried, folded, assorted by family members and delivered back within 24 hours. All laundry is done within your own home using your own washer and dryer & supplies. 
• In-Home Fold & Put-Away - Fold the client's clean clothes in their home and then put them away neatly organized in drawers.
• Drawer & Closet Reorganizations - These are usually one time "multi-specialist" with 2-5 people working together.
• Less-Mess Express - This is a rapid 1 hour add on tidy service to any existing laundry services. This is a quick home refresh where we are putting toys away, picking up clutter, putting dishes away and resetting the home.

**This is an independent contractor (1099) role and not a position of employment with Lessen the Loads. Opportunities for service requests are posted individually to a general thread and may include one-time or recurring services. Each posting will outline the specific service details. Contractors are free to express interest, and service requests are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee of a set number of hours or earnings. As an independent contractor, you are not eligible for employee benefits such as paid time off, overtime pay, workers’ compensation coverage, or insurance through Lessen the Loads. You are responsible for managing your own taxes at both the state and federal level. At year-end, Lessen the Loads will provide a 1099 form to report your earnings, which you will use when filing your taxes.**
