Description

Are you the person people are relieved to reach when they have a question? Do you get real satisfaction from a clean account, a solved problem, and a customer who hangs up happy?

Founded in 2016, LeasePoint Funding Group is a commercial equipment finance and vendor finance company based in Austin. We process more than 10,000 applications a year with a team of about 20 people, we have financed over $400MM in equipment with a focus on the healthcare sector, and we are hiring our first dedicated Customer Service Specialist to keep our portfolio running smoothly. We move quickly, we run lean, and people here own their work.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you are the voice of LeasePoint after a deal is funded. You will own the day-to-day servicing of our commercial equipment finance portfolio, from funding through end of term, keeping billing and payments accurate, resolving customer and vendor questions, and keeping every account clean and current. Our customers are physicians, medical practices, and other small business owners financing high-value medical equipment, so you are supporting real relationships alongside the vendors who sold them. You will be one of the first dedicated servicing hires on a small but growing team, and as the team grows, you will have the opportunity to step into a leadership role. Early on, you will also pitch in on early-stage collections.

Our Core Values

These core values guide how we work and who we hire:

•      Grow or Die. We believe progress is the pulse of business, and we grow ourselves, not just the company.

•      Find a Way. Obstacles are just opportunities in disguise.

•      Work Smarter. Effort matters, but thinking matters more.

•      Keep it Real. Authenticity wins, every time.

•      Do the Right Thing. Integrity isn’t optional; it’s our foundation.

•      Win Together. Aligned goals. Shared wins.

What’s In It for You

This is a ground-floor seat in a growing specialty finance company. You will learn how commercial equipment finance really works, build broad operational expertise across billing, servicing, and customer care, and own your accounts with real autonomy.

Because you are one of our first dedicated servicing hires, you will help shape how we build the function, with a clear path into a leadership role as the team and the portfolio grow.

Why This Role Matters

Funding wins the customer. Servicing keeps them. You are the person customers and vendors hear from after the deal is done, and the experience you create is the one they remember.

Accurate billing, fast answers, and clean records keep customers happy, protect vendor relationships, and keep the portfolio healthy. When you do this job well, problems get solved before they ever become problems.

Who You Are

•      You are warm, patient, and genuinely good with people

•      You stay calm and professional, even with a frustrated customer on the line

•      You are detail-oriented; a misapplied payment or a wrong date jumps out at you

•      You are organized and dependable; when you say you’ll follow up, you follow up

•      You are a clear communicator on the phone and in writing

•      You take ownership and resolve issues to completion rather than passing them along

•      You want to build something, not just work a job

What You’ll Do

You will own the day-to-day servicing of our commercial equipment portfolio, including:

•      Customer service. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, largely on inquiries about billing, payments, and account status, and resolve issues professionally and to completion.

•      Billing and payments. Apply incoming payments across ACH, credit card, check, and wire, and research and resolve posting discrepancies so every account stays accurate in the contract management system.

•      Insurance and tax. Track insurance coverage and certificates, and handle inquiries regarding sales and property tax and other pass-through charges.

•      Account maintenance. Process banking updates, address and entity or name changes, due date and other account changes, and keep servicing-system and CRM records accurate and current.

•      Payoffs and end of term. Prepare payoff and buyout quotes, process prepayments and early buyouts, and handle end-of-term activity including renewals, returns, and purchase options.

•      Reporting and records. Keep servicing-system and CRM data accurate and current, support recurring portfolio and lender reporting, and respond to data requests on account status and performance.

•      Collections support. Monitor early-stage past due accounts, make first-touch reminder contact, and refer accounts that roll further past due to the collections team.

This job description is intended to describe the general nature of the role and is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities. Duties and priorities may evolve as business needs change.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days: You know the portfolio and the servicing system, and you are handling billing, payments, and customer inquiries day to day.

60 to 90 days: You are running account servicing independently. Inquiries get resolved rather than escalated, records stay clean, and you bring options and a recommendation instead of a question.

What You’ll Need

•      Experience in loan or lease servicing, account servicing, billing and accounts receivable, equipment finance, or a comparable operational role. Commercial or B2B experience is a plus.

•      Early-term collections experience is a plus.

•      Working knowledge of account servicing: billing, payment application, payoffs, and end-of-term activity

•      Strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing many open accounts at once

•      Ability to work independently and prioritize through month-end and quarter-end, when billing cycles and lender reporting are due

•      Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, plus servicing and CRM platforms

Helpful but not required: equipment finance or commercial lending experience, familiarity with lease and loan documentation, insurance or tax tracking experience, or time on a small and fast-growing team.

Compensation & Benefits

•      Compensation commensurate with experience

•      100% employer-paid health insurance for employees (HDHP plan)

•      HSA with employer contribution

•      Voluntary dental, vision, life, and AD&D coverage

•      Unlimited time off

•      11 paid company holidays

•      Bonus opportunities tied to operational performance

•      A broad operational seat on a small, direct team, with room to grow as the portfolio grows
