Description

Are you the kind of person who can have a tough conversation with a customer and have them thank you at the end of it? Do you believe most people want to do the right thing and just need a partner to help them get there?

LeasePoint Funding Group is a fast-growing specialty equipment finance company looking for a Client Account Specialist to build and lead our portfolio servicing and account management function. This is a department-of-one role, owning day-to-day customer relationships and account performance while designing the processes and structure to support our growth.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely likes people, isn’t afraid to pick up the phone, and can hold a firm line without losing warmth. You’ll be the person our customers know by name, and the one who keeps our portfolio healthy by getting ahead of issues before they become problems.

What’s In It for You

This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a critical function within a growing financial services company. You’ll shape how we engage with customers, build the processes that scale with us, and directly impact both portfolio performance and customer experience.

You’ll work closely with leadership, sales, and credit, giving you visibility and influence across the business while positioning yourself to grow into a team leadership role as the company scales.

Why This Role Matters

Our customers’ experience after the deal closes is just as important as how we win them. This role owns that experience. You’ll be the voice they hear when something needs to be sorted out, the person they trust to give them a straight answer, and the reason accounts stay current instead of slipping.

As the sole owner of this function, you’ll set the tone for how LeasePoint shows up for customers, while building the foundation for a team that grows alongside the portfolio.

Who You Are

  • You genuinely like people and find satisfaction in solving their problems
  • You’d rather pick up the phone than send another email, especially when something is sensitive
  • You can deliver tough news without being cold, and hold a firm line without being harsh
  • You believe most customers want to do the right thing, and you treat them as partners, not adversaries
  • You stay calm and curious when conversations get hard, and you don’t take pushback personally
  • You’re organized enough to follow through on every commitment you make to a customer

What You’ll Do

You’ll own and execute all aspects of portfolio servicing and account management, including:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact and trusted resource for customers throughout the life of their lease
  • Building real relationships with customers so that when issues come up, there’s already trust in the bank
  • Reaching out early when accounts show signs of trouble, having candid conversations, and partnering with customers to find a path forward
  • Helping customers understand their obligations and options so they feel informed and supported, not surprised
  • Monitoring daily payment activity and resolving returned or failed payments quickly and professionally
  • Reviewing aging reports and getting ahead of early-stage delinquency before it escalates
  • Managing insurance documentation, proof of coverage, and other lease-related requirements
  • Maintaining accurate, complete documentation within servicing and CRM systems
  • Reviewing account histories for accuracy and escalating discrepancies when needed
  • Ensuring servicing activities comply with internal policies and applicable regulations
  • Spotting patterns in customer issues and feeding that back into how we operate
