As a Test Operations Technician, you will execute rocket engine and component testing to support propulsion development and flight readiness. You will work hands-on with cryogenic systems, test stands, and flight hardware to ensure safe, reliable, and repeatable test operations.

Description

Own Core Responsibilities


  • Execute LNG/LOX rocket engine testing and hot-fire operations
  • Perform cryogenic loading, pressurization, purge, and safing procedures
  • Integrate propulsion systems and flight hardware assemblies
  • Conduct leak checks, proof testing, and instrumentation setup
  • Support fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of test stands and GSE
  • Assist with launch site operations and pad activities as needed
  • Follow test procedures, safety protocols, and operational checklists
  • Maintain test documentation, logs, and data records
  • Identify and escalate issues during test and integration activities


Produce Clear Deliverables


  • Executed test operations with complete and accurate data capture
  • Verified hardware integration and system readiness
  • Leak check and pressure test results
  • Instrumentation setup and validation records
  • Test logs, run reports, and anomaly documentation
  • Maintained and updated test procedures and checklists

What You Bring to the Team


  • 5+ years of aerospace integration, test, or propulsion experience
  • Hands-on experience with cryogenic and high-pressure systems
  • Experience supporting test operations or test stand environments
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability
  • Experience working in high-energy or hazardous test environments
  • Clear communication and ability to work within a fast-paced team


Bonus Points


  • Experience with LNG/LOX engine testing or hot-fire operations
  • Orbital tube welding experience
  • Environmental or component testing experience
  • Launch operations or pad support experience
  • FAA A&P training or similar technical certification
  • High-energy systems safety training


Compensation

Hourly: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour (Eligible for Overtime) 

The estimated salary range for this role reflects various compensation factors. The final offer depends on factors such as work experience, education, training, key skills, and business needs.

Work Environment

This role operates in high-energy test environments, including outdoor test stands and launch sites. You should be comfortable working around cryogenic fluids, high-pressure systems, and heavy equipment, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
