As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring LEAP has the materials, components, and supplier support needed to develop and manufacture next-generation launch vehicles. You will execute day-to-day procurement activities while helping build scalable supply chain processes that enable rapid company growth. Description

Own Core Responsibilities

  • Review purchase requests for completeness and accuracy and create purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Procure hardware, components, raw materials, machined parts, and other production-related materials.
  • Obtain supplier quotations and support pricing discussions.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order information, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.
  • Track supplier acknowledgements, order confirmations, and expected delivery dates.
  • Follow up on open purchase orders and proactively resolve material delays or shortages.
  • Partner with Finance to support invoice review and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure material availability aligns with program schedules.
  • Support supplier communication and relationship management alongside the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Assist with supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and ERP system data.
  • Support receiving activities, inventory organization, and material visibility efforts.
  • Document and continuously improve procurement processes as LEAP's supply chain organization grows.
  • Support additional supply chain initiatives as business priorities evolve.


Produce Clear Deliverables

  • Accurate and timely purchase orders.
  • Supplier quotations and pricing comparisons.
  • Updated purchase order and supplier status reports.
  • Procurement documentation maintained within LEAP's ERP systems.
  • Material availability updates that support engineering and production schedules.
  • Process documentation and recommendations that improve procurement efficiency and scalability.

  • Ensure materials are available to support engineering development, manufacturing, and launch schedules.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records that improve operational visibility and financial accuracy.
  • Identify and communicate supply risks before they impact cost or schedule.
  • Support supplier performance through proactive communication and follow-up.
  • Contribute to scalable procurement processes that support LEAP's continued growth.
  • Demonstrate ownership, sound judgment, and accountability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations experience. Internship experience may be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and urgency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical products, systems, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations teams.


Bonus Points

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations within aerospace, defense, or other highly technical industries.
  • Experience supporting purchasing activities, supplier communication, or material coordination.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement software, or inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of material certifications, traceability requirements, or manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience working in a startup or other high-growth environment.


Compensation

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000

The estimated salary range for this role reflects various compensation factors. The final offer depends on factors such as work experience, education, training, key skills, and business needs.
