HR Intern at LeaderScript

Ready to learn HR by doing it? Join LeaderScript as our HR Intern and work on real talent and people projects for charter schools and nonprofits, with a real shot at a full-time role by June 2027.

What You'll Do

• Run HR projects from kickoff to finish, from recruiting pushes to onboarding checklists to policy refreshes
• Support talent and hiring work for charter schools and education nonprofits
• Lead screening interviews using a rubric and equity-driven practices
• Talk with candidates, school leaders, and staff, and make every person feel seen and supported
• Use Claude to draft, organize, and sharpen your work, and get better at prompting every week
• Keep records, trackers, and documents in Google Workspace spotless and up to date
• Learn employment law basics, people strategy, and consulting skills straight from working HR leaders

Who We're Looking For

You are a soon-to-graduate student or recent grad in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or Nonprofit Management. HR majors get top priority.

You also bring:

• High empathy. You listen first and care about the people behind every task.
• Drive. You take initiative and keep moving without being asked.
• Responsibility. When you say it's done, it's done.
• Sharp attention to detail. You catch typos, missing dates, and wrong names before anyone else does.
• Project ownership. You can take a project and manage it from start to finish.
• Claude curiosity. You understand effective prompting, or you are excited to learn it.
• Google Workspace fluency. Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar, and Drive feel like home.
• People skills. You genuinely enjoy talking with people.

The Details

• Pay: $20 to $25 per hour
• Hours: 5 hours per week, flexible around your classes, with options for more hours at times
• Location: Hybrid (1 meeting per week in person)
• Start date: As soon as available
