LEAD STL is actively seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Community Engagement & Learning Leader. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing community programming and partnering with school district administrations. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will lead a team of contractors to facilitate various initiatives.


The successful candidate will possess exceptional critical thinking skills and a strong commitment to community engagement. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in community engagement and grant management is required. Preferably, candidates will have experience working within school administrative processes and facilitating programming for primary and secondary school students.


As the Community Engagement & Learning Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the organization's mission forward. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing project timelines and budgets, and fostering strong relationships with community stakeholders and school district partners. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the facilitation team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Specialized Program Leadership:

  • Deliver and supervise instructional curriculum
  • Emerging Changemakers: Manage and enhance after-school programming during the school year, focusing on academic support and personal development.
  • Ensure transparent and reliable communication with the Director of Core Programming, LEAD facilitators, and school staff. 
  • Track program metrics, maintain current knowledge of best practices in educational programming and youth development. Experience in tracking outputs and outcomes to ensure program effectiveness and adaptability is essential.

Community Engagement & Collaboration

  • Manage communication with external community partners 
  • Ensure timely, organized delivery of programmatic facilitation 

Administrative & Grant Management

  • Support in tracking and meeting of grant writing deliverables, collaborate with the Executive Director to oversee reporting, and manage compliance for private and corporate grants.
  • Collection of programmatic fees, familiarity with school administrative processes preferred.
  • Ability to manage and maintain a programmatic budget.


Salary

$48,000 - $58,000 per year
