Job Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and manage a team of landscaping professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to our ecological and sustainability standards. This role involves coordinating daily tasks, providing hands-on guidance, and maintaining strong client relationships.

I. Scope of Work

  • Maintenance of various landscapes across Oʻahu, focusing on native plant care, ecological health, and aesthetic standards.

II. General Duties and Responsibilities (In addition to: General Maintenance Laborer Duties

  1. Team Management: Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.​
  2. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of work quality, ensuring all projects meet Lēʻahi Landscaping's specifications and sustainability goals.​
  3. Client Relations: Interact with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.​
  4. Training: Train crew members on best practices, safety protocols, and the use of all-electric equipment.​
  5. Scheduling: Coordinate employee as well as account schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  6. Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the team operates in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.​
  7. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the proper storage, use and maintenance of all tools and equipment.​
  8. Technological Integration: Support the integration of emerging technologies and cutting edge landscaping practices.​

III. Qualifications

  1. Experience in landscaping or groundskeeping required.
  2. Ability to perform physical labor and operate maintenance equipment and lift at least 75 lbs.
  3. Punctuality and professionalism.
  4. Embodies principles of equity and respect, actively opposing racism and any form of discrimination in the workplace.
  5. General interest in native Hawaiian plants and ecological landscaping practices.
  6. Eagerness to learn and adopt sustainable landscaping techniques.
  7. Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team.
  8. Commitment to Lēʻahi Landscaping’s values of ecological preservation and technological innovation.
  9. Valid State ID.

IV. Education

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

V. Work Environment

- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.

- Operation of all-electric landscaping equipment.

- Active participation in a team-oriented environment.
